Baking / Rolling Mats
|
Baking mats for rolling dough? Absolutely! I don't bake with this set of mats, though you could. I place a ball of dough between the two mats and use my Joseph Joseph rolling pin to roll out my dough with ease.
This is great for extra cleanliness, but also prevents any sticking to your counter or rolling pin and it won't slide like parchment paper does. |
I love my Kitchen Aid stand mixer, but when I need to make a double batch of dough or buttercream my Cooklee comes in handy. If you are looking for a stand mixer that is more wallet friendly than a Kitchen Aid, take a look at the Cooklee. I have had mine for almost two years and it works great. It does stop on me when I get close to the end of a double batch of cookie dough because it's thick and fills up most of the bowl. But, it also does that so that it doesn't over heat, which I like. I let it rest for a few seconds and I can run it again. However, you don't want to overmix your dough, so at that point, using your clean hands to mix in that last bit of flour might be a better option, if you are doing a large batch of dough.
